Hello there dear select reader,
Here she is again, reporting in. I'm R E T I R E D!! Finally I have time to do all the things and first on the list is to take care of my old arthritic little body. I've become the tin man, well, tin woman! Even getting the silver sparkles on my head to go along with the creaking in my joints!
But wait now, I'm not good at doing all the Lisa things.
After all, practically my first post-retirement "project" was to take in a little wayward soul this summer and try to put her back on a good path. I'd love to report that all went well and she's all fixed now. I'd love for that to be true, but sadly that's not the way these things most often end. Three months of my newly minted retirement were dedicated to an odyssey armed with good intentions and an insanely optimistic belief that maybe I could help. That odyssey ended suddenly and I hope that she gets the help she needs somehow. Someday.
After that -- well, I slept a bunch, went to Banff, and thought to myself that -- Well now... Now is the time for me to focus on me.
And, so here we are. November. My bougie little Almonte yoga studio, Evolution Wellness, has a wee November Challenge going. 30 days of yoga!
My physio is a big thumbs up! My back and knees are cautiously optimistic.
But will I stick with it?? I am the Queen of starting stuff for me and then letting them drift away. Normally I'll find someone who needs something, and their needs become my focus.
Funny how easy it is for me to focus on someone else rather than me, isn't it?
So little oversharing Lisa is oversharing again!
I'm hoping the fear of public shaming is enough to do yoga 30 times during the month of November. I'm hoping that my back, my knees, my shoulders and my soul will get the reset they all need.
Will I do it? Will I make it to Day 5, Day 15, Day 30!!
Stay tuned dear reader!!
